Our Curriculum

Resurrection Academy uses the Funshine Express Buttercups curriculum for the two year old class. This curriculum provides practical lessons that make it easy to engage with children and build relationships. The hands-on learning engages children’s senses as they learn concepts to everyday play. The activities foster creativity and promote emotional, cognitive, social, language and physical development.

We use the Funshine Express Fireflies curriculum for the three year old class. This curriculum incorporates theme-based learning that is fun and exciting. All activities are research based and developmentally appropriate. The curriculum follows along with the Alabama standards for Early Learning and Development. Children are introduced to kindergarten readiness skills.

We use the Letterville Phonics curriculum for our four year old classes. This curriculum is a research-based curriculum that teaches phonics using character, song and a story based approach that leads to long term retention of concepts. It teaches kindergarten readiness skills and provides a fun learning environment for the young child.

We use The New Beginner’s Bible for our bible lesson. It is a great way to introduce children to the characters and stories of the Bible. We teach one bible story each week. We have chapel once a week where the bible lesson is taught through modeling, worship, and song.
